On the sidelines of the AFC Congress held in Malaysia, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Trần Quốc Tuấn and President of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Song Kai held discussions and reached a mutual agreement to soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This further affirms the strong relationship between the two federations, as well as their shared commitment to working together toward the goal of improving the quality of football in both countries.

In 2024, the Chinese Football Association extended invitations to various Vietnamese national teams—including the senior women’s team, women’s futsal team, U21 national team, U19 men’s team, and U16 men’s team—to participate in international friendly tournaments featuring high-quality opponents. In preparation for the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers, the CFA also officially invited Vietnam’s U16 team to take part in a friendly tournament ahead of the event.

At present, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has signed cooperation agreements with several prominent football associations, including those of Japan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, South Korea, Brazil, and soon, China. Strengthening international cooperation with federations from countries with well-developed football systems will provide more opportunities for growth, helping Vietnamese football continue to progress and achieve greater success in the future.
