Vietnam 6-0 Guam

Vietnam dominated the game from the first blow of the whistle and scored the opening goal in the 34th minute through a Le Van Do strike.

The onus was on Guam to level the score in the second half but Vietnam extended their lead through Nguyen Van Tung’s spot-kick in the 54th minute.
Ho Van Cuong made it 3-0 in the 68th minute before Nguyen Thanh Nhan put Vietnam further ahead in the 79th minute.
Guam suffered more woe when they conceded again in the 83rd minute from Hoang Van Toan’s effort before Bui Vi Hao scored Vietnam’s final goal of the evening from the penalty spot.
Vietnam play Yemen in an enticing tie on Saturday while Guam will aim to get their campaign back on track when they face Singapore.
Singapore 0-3 Yemen
The West Asians dominated the match from the start but found it hard to break down their opponents who soaked up the pressure in the opening minutes.
Yemen finally found a way through in the 32nd minute when Mohammed Noman Al Wajih’s header bounced off the crossbar with Ahmed Maher sneaking in the rebound from close range.
Yemen went on to score their second goal in the 41st minute with Hamzah Mohammed Hanash showing sublime skill, controlling Maher’s cross before sending a volleyed effort over Singapore keeper Aizil Yazid.
Luck was not on Aizil’s side as he conceded the third goal in the closing stages of the half after Maher’s shot from inside the box took a cruel deflection over the keeper before settling into the back of the net.
Singapore did their best to contain the West Asian side in the second half but were unable to reduce the deficit as Yemen took home the three points.
