A stung Australia fought back with Grace Kuilamu reducing the deficit at the half hour mark with Ruby Cuthbert restoring parity three minutes before the break.
Philippines had no answer to Australia’s resurgence as they conceded again just a minute into the second half to Shelby Mcmahon’s effort.
