Vietnam’s U17 women is in Group B of qualifying round 2 of the 2024 U17 Women’s Asian Cup with rivals Australia, Bangladesh and the Philippines. Sharing about the upcoming goal in the second qualifying round of the 2024 U17 Women’s Asian Cup, coach Akira Ijiri affirmed that the team’s biggest goal is to pass the second qualifying round to enter the final round of the U17 Women’s Asian Cup next year. this time. “I am thinking of a long-term strategy for the U17 and U20 women’s teams in the next 4 years. To be able to participate in the World Cup depends on many factors, including a long-term plan and may have to start with younger players. Vietnamese women’s football has a gap with the world. When this gap can be shortened, the story of participating in the World Cup will be simpler,” Mr. Akira said.

The matches in Group B took place on September 20, 22 and 24 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and were broadcast live on FPT Play. 4 teams compete in a round robin to find the best and 2nd teams to qualify the final round of the 2024 U17 Women’s Asian Cup.
