Futsal: Former star Hong Son works as coach assistant of national team

Former star Nguyen Hong Son will return to the national futsal team but as a coach assistant as the team are called up in preparation for the forthcoming Southeast Asian championship in Malaysia in April. 

Hong Son would be one of two assistants to head coach Nguyen Van Long. Another assistant is Nguyen Duc Duy. 

In preparation for the forthcoming tournament, the team will be called up from March 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Following is the list called up of players:

Team manager: Nguyen Huu Bang

Head coach: Nguyen Hong Son and Nguyen Duc Duy

Goalkeepers: Trung Kien (Dilmah), Van Thanh (Ho Chi Minh City Police) and Huu Huy (Da Nang);

Defenders: Minh Tuan (Dilmah), Huy Hoang (S&C Hanoi), Van Hoa, Thanh Nguyen, Van Hien and Bao Trung (Ho Chi Minh City Police) and Dong Kha (Da Nang);

Midfielders: Tuan Tu (Da Nang), Anh Duc (S&C Hanoi), Ba Tuan (Can Tho), Duy Khanh, and The Tam (Tien Giang);

Forwards: Anh Khoa and Thai Duong (Ca Mau), Bao Quan (Dilmah), Minh Giang (Thai Son Nam) and Quoc Binh (Da Nang).
