The second training session of the U23 Vietnam in the UAE

The second training session of the U23 Vietnam team, which took place on the evening of May 26 during the training period in the UAE, showed the synchronized together in perfect unison. when the group of 31 SEA Games players showed their ability to quickly catch up with tactical intentions of head coach Gong Oh-kyun as well as integrating with the team’s overall playstyle.

In this training session, head coach Gong Oh-kyun pushed a huge amount of movement, with training content on how to play high pressing, how to move, coordinate and finish the goal in a narrow range. The attacking style of play according to the new tactical scheme applied by the new Korean head coach to the U23 Vietnam team requires great flexibility and mobility of the players. Besides, the ability to control, rotate the ball and finish quickly when there is any opportunity are also factors that make up the strength of this style of play. That is also what Coach Gong Oh-kyun and his assistants are trying to forge for the students. The good thing is, the U23 players have shown progress through each training session, their physical foundation is also maintained quite well, helping them to swallow the proposed lesson plan.

It is known that in the morning of the same day, head coach Gong Oh-kyun also consolidated the internal organization by appointing the leaders group of the U23 Vietnam. Accordingly, defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh was entrusted with the captain. The two vice captains are goalkeeper Nguyen Van Toan and midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh.

On the evening of May 27, the U23 Vietnam will have another practice session before entering the test of personnel and a friendly match against U23 UAE, which will take place on the evening of May 28. This is a match for the professional work of both teams preparing for the AFC U23 Championship, so it will take place on the field without spectators and there will be no media.
