U23 Vietnam had a draw with Yeongnam University’s Football team at the first match in Tongyeong
In the afternoon 18th Dec, U23 Vietnam had the first match in the training program in Tongyeong, Korea. The opponent was Yeongnam University’s Football team which had strong physical players. This team created an effective game for the team of head coach Park Hang-seo.

Head coach Park Hang-seo had the first test for the players in the training program at Korea forward to the U23 AFC Championship 2020
This is the test match to evaluate the performance of the players therefore head coach Park Hang-seo divided the match into three parts (30 minutes per half) and using flexible line-up. Except for the group of players who are recoveries such as Quang Hai, Trong Hung, Thanh Thinh and the players who are waiting to check the health including Tien Linh, Thanh Chung, and Thien Duc did not play, all other players were allowed to play at different times.
At this match, U23 Vietnam showed the ability to control the ball and organize the attacking plan thereby created many good chances. However, they were unsuccessful. The game ended with no goal.
On 19th Dec, U23 Vietnam continues to practice. On 21st Dec, the team will have the next match with Busan Transportation Cooperation Club.
