U23 Vietnam team lost to U23 Uzbekistan 0-1 in the last match at Dubai Cup 2022

After a 0-0 draw against U23 Iraq and a 0-1 defeat against U23 Croatia, U23 Vietnam was determined to find a goal in the match against U23 Uzbekistan, in the last match of the U23 International – Dubai Cup 2022. Coach Lee Young Jin’s team are shown by their efforts to attack.

45 minutes of the first half witnessed the attractive tit-for-tat displays of both sides. With U23 Vietnam, in the 8th minute, from an attack organized on the left wing, the ball suddenly went into the middle for Minh Khoa. This player hit a shot outside the penalty area that made the Uzbekistan U23 goalkeeper struggle to stop. Nearly 20 minutes later, U23 Vietnam witnessed Ho Thanh Minh’s dribbling effort. Losing the final 0-1, U23 Vietnam closed the U23 Dubai Cup with 8th place.

The team led by coach Lee Young Jin has learned many lessons after facing top-class U23 teams such as Iraq, Croatia and Uzbekistan. The problem is, the attack of U23 Vietnam, despite creating opportunities, cannot be converted into a goal.
