VFF Club Licensing Committee’s 3rd meeting: Decision to license clubs to participate in the National League for the 2023/2024 season

On the afternoon of August 31, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation, the Club Licensing Committee continued to held a meeting for the third time in August to make important decisions related to licensing clubs to participate in the National League season 2023/2024.

Representatives of the VFF leaders attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary. The meeting was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Chairman of Club License Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Deputy Chairman of Club License Committee; Mr. Le Dang Tung – Chairman of Appeal Body; Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong – Deputy Chairman of Appeal Body; Mr. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – General Director of VPF with members of License Committee, Appeal Body and representatives of some VFF’s functional departments.

Continuing the content at the previous meeting (August 15 and August 24), at this meeting, the members continued to work with the focus on deciding to license the Club to participate in the season 2023/2024. Accordingly, the Club Licensing Committee unanimously decided to license 14 Football Clubs to participate in the V.League for the 2023/2024 season, including: Hanoi Football Club, Becamex Binh Duong Football Club, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club, Nam Dinh Football Club, Hong Linh Ha Tinh Football Club, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club, Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club, Binh Dinh Football Club, Viettel Football Club, Hai Phong Football Club, Hanoi Police Football Club, Quang Nam Football Club and Khanh Hoa Football Club.

However, for clubs approved by the Executive Committee to apply the exception policy to participate in the  V.League season 2023/2024, they will be granted permission by the Licensing Committee with conditions to complete the requirements, specifically:

– Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Quang Nam Football Clubs are responsible for registering and using qualified stadiums as home stadiums for the 2023/24 V.League;

– Viettel Football Club, Hanoi and Quang Nam Police are responsible for completing procedures for establishing a business in accordance with the club’s commitment;

– Hai Phong Football Club is responsible for perfecting facilities and building a youth training system in accordance with the club’s commitment.
