VFF Permanent Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan met Vietnam Women’s Football team
On the afternoon 24th Dec, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan had the meeting with the coaching assistant and the players of Vietnam Women’s Football team on the gathering day to prepare for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2020 Asian Qualifiers Final Round. Due to the left of DPR Korea, Permanent Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan impressed that the team is having a big chance to join Olympic.

On behalf of the team, head coach Mai Duc Chung reported the status of the first gathering day
Speak at the meeting, on behalf of the coaching assistant, head coach Mai Duc Chung reported the status of the players on the first day. According to that, 21 in a total of 25 players were at PVF (Hanoi). 4 players who could not gather belonging to Ho Chi Minh Club including defender Chuong Thi Kieu, goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh, and two midfielder Cu Thi Huynh Nhu and Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy. Head coach Mai Duc Chung thanked the leaders of VFF for the coming and spends time to talk with the members of the team. He also promised that the team will continue to prepare for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2020 Asian Qualifiers Final Round.

At the meeting, Mr. Doan Anh Tuan – Manager of National teams Department updated the notification that DPR Korea has withdrawn from this qualifying round. The group A now has only 3 teams including Korea, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Hence, Vietnam’s team has a big chance to get the ticket for Olympic Tokyo 2020. Comment about this good news, VFF Permanent President Tran Quoc Tuan impressed: “The success at SEA Games 30 of the women team was very valuable. With this result, the team received great attention from the government authorities, the supporters, and the sponsors. The awards are worthy of the effort of the team in 2019. One important thing that the leader of VFF is guiding the office to work with the companies to complete the transfer of the entire prize money to the women’s team members. VFF acknowledged the players have worked hard and we need to keep up the good work at this gathering. I and the leaders want the coaching assistant will review and check all of the problems of the team and according to that VFF will provide the support plan to create the best favorable condition for the team. VFF has planed the training program and the matches with the big club at European forward to the World Cup.
