Vietnam U23 team returns to the training ground, highly focused for the SEA Games 31

At the end of 2 friendly matches with U20 Korea, U23 Vietnam team had a day off to “relax” to recover the physical condition and refresh the spirit and energy. This afternoon (April 24), the team returned to the training ground with great concentration for the sprint to prepare to attend the 31st SEA Games.

Only 12 days left, U23 Vietnam will officially start the journey to defend the championship at the 31st SEA Games men’s football. By this time, you can already feel the heat of the Games held at the home which is heating up day by day. Therefore, head coach Park Hang-seo was forced to tighten discipline for the players in activities and training. The Korean coach asked the whole team to focus on the goal ahead, not allowing any superficiality or distraction in practice. The group of 3 players over 23 years old including captain Hung Dung, midfielder Hoang Duc and striker Tien Linh were also divided into 3 different groups on the training ground to urge teammates.

At the training session this afternoon, the U23 Vietnam team also received good news with the return of midfielder Tran Quang Thinh after a period of treatment for a thigh muscle injury. However, defender Lieu Quang Vinh still has to pursue his own training plan under the guidance of doctor Choi Ju-young.

According to the plan, Park Hang-seo’s team will maintain daily practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center until April 30, and will move to Phu Tho, the venue for the group stage of men’s football at SEA Games 31. Head coach Park Hang-seo will have 5 days in Phu Tho to complete the final pieces before finalizing the official list of 20 players.
