According to the plan, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his players will have more than four weeks to prepare for the event. After the domestic training phase, the team will travel to China for a training camp, which will include two friendly matches against the Chinese women’s futsal team in early December.

Speaking about the team’s goals, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: “Our entire team is determined to reach the final and aim for the best possible result at the 33rd SEA Games. We will work hard and prepare thoroughly to achieve this goal.”

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam women’s futsal team is grouped with Indonesia and Myanmar. Assessing the opponents, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang commented: “Indonesia is improving rapidly. They performed very well at the recent Asian finals, with many quality players and strong physical fitness. Myanmar is a team we defeated in the Asian qualifiers earlier this year, but they have many promising young players and will certainly pose challenges. This is quite a balanced group, so we must prepare carefully.”

The current squad remains built around the core players who competed at the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship, alongside several young faces called up for this camp, including Tran Tuyet Mai, Lam Thi Xuan, and Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong (Thai Son Nam HCMC Futsal Club); Nguyen Huynh Nhu (Thong Nhat Sports Center); and Nguyen Phuong Anh (Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports).

Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang emphasized: “The current lineup is a blend of experience and youth. We will make adjustments in playing style and tempo, aiming for positive changes—not only for the upcoming SEA Games but also for the long-term development of Vietnam women’s futsal.”

Two players from Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Football Club, Tran Thi Thuy Trang and K’Thua, will join the national team later, after completing their participation in the AFC Women’s Club Championship.
