Vietnam women’s team returns to Hanoi, aiming for the next goal
On the morning of April 10, the flight of the Vietnam women’s team landed at Noi Bai airport at 5.16am, officially completed the journey at the first qualifying round of the Olympic Paris 2024 with two victories over the host Nepal.
The journey of team departed from Kathmandu (Nepal) at 17h00, transited in New Delhi (India) for 5 hours before landing at Noi Bai airport.
Before that, during the time the team competed in the first qualifying round of the Olympic Paris 2024, the group of players recovering from injury and the young players who had just gathered also had a week of training with the fitness coach Cedric Roger at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. After returning from Nepal, the group of players participating in the first qualifying round of the Olympic Paris 2024 will have 2 days of rest in place before regrouping and continuing to practice for the next mission.
The second international tournament this year of coach Mai Duc Chung’s team is the SEA Games 32 held in Cambodia in May. The opponents of the Vietnam women’s team in the group stage are Malaysia, Myanmar and the Philippines. In order to prepare for this important tournament, the Vietnam Football Federation and the coaching staff agreed on a two-week training plan in Osaka (Japan) with 3 friendly matches against quality clubs.
It is expected that the Vietnam women’s team will have 4 days of training in Hanoi before moving to Japan on April 17.
