Binh Duong closer to enter AFC Cup final

Becamex Binh Duong earned a slight advantage ahead of the away second-leg semi-final after beating Syria’s Al Karamah 2-1 at Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong. 

With the minimum goal difference, Binh Duong are expected to have a difficult time competing in Syria

With a smaller goal difference, Binh Duong are expected to find it difficult to compete in Syria, in their first appearance in a continental football competition final.

Even a 0-0 draw in the away match would be enough for Binh Duong to enter the final.

The victory spured the Vietnamese football team to achieve an impressive record against football teams from the Middle East.

In the 2007 AFC Cup, the Vietnamese team won against the United Arab Emirates and drew with Quatar to reach the quarter-finals.
