Draw and schedule the National Youth U21 Championship 2022
On the afternoon of December 15, the drawing and scheduling ceremony for the National Youth U21 Championship 2022 took place in Nghe An with the participation of 10 teams that had qualified and 2 hosts, U21 SLNA and U21 Ha Tinh.

On behalf of VFF, there were Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Mr. Tran Huy Duc – Member of the Executive Committee. On the side of Thanh Nien Media Group Joint Stock Company, there were Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe – Chairman of the Board of Directors, Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
On behalf of the VFF, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary highly appreciated the contribution of youth tournaments like U21 to the national team levels: “As can be seen, young awards like U19, U21 is a very good foundation for the U20 and U23 teams in Vietnam. It can be affirmed that Vietnamese youth football is leading in ASEAN. Previously, Thailand and Malaysia were very serious opponents. But in recent times, Vietnam is going up at a fast pace and is highly appreciated for young football in the region, which is clearly demonstrated through the recent AFC U17 Asian Cup and the 2022 SEA Games. To be where we are today, it is all thanks to the contributions of the clubs participating in the U21 tournament.”
In the role of co-chairman of the organizing committee, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe said: “For the first time, the U21 final round were held in Nghe An and Ha Tinh. However, the U21 SLNA team has won 5 times, is a veteran team and the hope of the tournament. It can be seen that Nghe An is a very “rich” locality in football, the cradle of football, especially young football. Besides the performances of the teams, I must say that I love the spectator in this province. The spectator is very enthusiastic, paying great attention to young football for many years.”
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the organizers conducted a draw to schedule the matches for the groups in the final round. The draw results of the National Youth U21 Championship 2022 are as follows:

At this round, Group A and Group B are considered “group of death”. While Group A has the appearance of strong teams such as U21 SLNA, U21 Da Nang and U21 HAGL, Group B converges two opponents U21 Hanoi, U21 Nutifood Academy – the two teams that played in the final match of the U21 tournament 2021.
Teams will compete in a round-robin format in each group. The first and second place teams in each group along with the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
The final round of the tournament will take place in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces from December 17 to December 30. The tournament will have 06 matches scheduled to be live by FPT Television: Opening Ceremony and Opening Match; quarterfinal match 1; quarterfinal match 2; semi-final match 1; Semi-Final 2 and Closing Ceremony, Final Match and Awards Ceremony.
In addition, the remaining matches of the tournament will also be broadcast live by Thanh Nien Newspaper Television at the same time on Fanpage U19 – U21 Thanh Nien, Youtube channel: FPT Football Vietnam, VFF Channel, … to serve a large number of fans.
During the tournament, the organizers also reserved stands B and C at Vinh and Ha Tinh stadium to serve the spectator to watch and cheer on the teams.
