Launch Ceremony of the VFF App: A Unique Technological Bridge Connecting the National Teams and Fans
On the afternoon of October 6, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Launch Ceremony of the VFF App took place with the attendance of leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, VFF executives, representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Vietnam, partner Fanzeal International, accompanying sponsor Visa, media agencies, and representatives of the Vietnam Football Supporters’ Association.
Attending the event were Mr. Hoàng Đạo Cương – Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Oscar Staffas Edström – Head of Trade and Promotion, Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam; Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – AFC Executive Committee Member, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); along with VFF Vice Presidents, Executive Committee Members, and officials from the General Secretariat. Also present were representatives from the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) and VFF’s functional departments.
From the VFF App’s development partner and sponsor side, attendees included Mr. Samuel Arnald – CEO of Fanzeal International; Mr. Magnus Bjellefors – Senior Advisor, Fanzeal International; Mr. Nguyễn Minh Sơn – CEO of Fanzeal Vietnam; and Mr. Luca Guidobaldi – Senior Director, Head of Strategy, Visa Vietnam and Laos.
The ceremony also welcomed members of the Vietnam U23 National Team, representatives of the Vietnam Football Supporters’ Association, and a large number of media representatives.
The VFF App is developed based on three key pillars: national aspiration, global technology, and fan experience, aiming to create a direct, instant, and emotionally engaging connection between the national teams and the supporter community.
Initially, the VFF App introduces a range of fan-centric features, including: Membership: Fans can register to become official members of the VFF community, unlocking personalized experiences, priority access to special events, and recognition as part of the “shared home” of Vietnamese football; Instant News & Exclusive Content: Up-to-the-minute updates on Vietnam’s National Teams, event schedules, behind-the-scenes clips, exclusive interviews, and members-only newsletters—ensuring fans are always the first to know and experience; Reward System: Earn and accumulate points to redeem vouchers, gifts, and exclusive offers from sponsors; Voting: Participate in real-time polls such as “Player of the Match; Mini-games: Complete daily and weekly challenges to earn points and redeem rewards.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – affirmed: “The launch of the VFF App marks an important milestone in the modernization of communication and digital transformation in Vietnamese football. This application will create a modern digital space where fans can connect, accompany, and contribute to inspiring our national teams in their pursuit of greater goals.”
Representing the VFF App’s development partner, Mr. Samuel Arnald – CEO of Fanzeal International – expressed his pride in collaborating with VFF to build a “digital home” for Vietnamese football fans, opening a new chapter in strengthening community engagement and advancing the sport’s growth.
For his part, Mr. Oscar Staffas Edström, representing the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam, emphasized that the collaboration between Fanzeal and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) stands as a testament to the expanding relationship between Vietnam and Sweden. He also expressed his hope that this initiative will elevate the football experience for Vietnamese fans to a new level.
The launch ceremony was highlighted by the symbolic activation of the application on the LED screen, joined by representatives from VFF, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Embassy of Sweden, Fanzeal International, and other partners. On this occasion, VFF and the Embassy of Sweden presented national team jerseys as a symbol of friendship and cooperation.
As a sponsoring partner of the event, the representative of Visa Vietnam and Laos affirmed the company’s commitment to continued collaboration with VFF to deliver convenient, safe, and innovative technology experiences for fans, contributing to the creation of a dynamic and sustainable football ecosystem in Vietnam.
