Vietnam U17 women’s team draw 2–2 with Aichi Toho University in final friendly match in Japan
Today (April 11), the Vietnam U17 women’s team played their final friendly match during their training camp in Japan against Aichi Toho University. The match was played in two halves of 45 minutes each and ended in a 2–2 draw.
Vietnam U17 women’s team started proactively and took the lead as early as the 5th minute. From a pass by Minh Anh, Yen Linh controlled the ball neatly before unleashing a शानदार strike from outside the box to put her team 1–0 ahead.
However, the opponents quickly equalized in the 12th minute. After the ball was played out wide, a cross into the box allowed the Japanese side to finish directly on goal, making it 1–1.
In the second half, Aichi Toho University went ahead 2–1 in the 57th minute. Nevertheless, Vietnam U17 women’s team showed resilience and equalized 2–2 in the 62nd minute thanks to Thanh Lam.
The 2–2 draw against Aichi Toho University concluded Vietnam U17 women’s team’s series of friendly matches in Japan, providing valuable experience, helping the squad refine their lineup, and strengthen their competitive mentality ahead of returning home and entering the next phase of preparations for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026.
