Continuing to implement the 2nd VAR Referee training course
As part of the plan to apply VAR technology to matches at the V.League, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), and the VFF’s Arbitration Committee continues to organize the second training course in the LAB room for VAR referees, taking place from April 18 to May 3 in Hanoi.

FIFA Council approves international match calendars
The FIFA Council met in advance of the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali, Rwanda, and adopted several key decisions, particularly in relation to the future of men’s and women’s competitions, for which the respective international match calendars were unanimously approved following a detailed consultation process.
VFF and NFF signed a cooperation agreement to develop community football
As part of a business trip to Rwanda, to attend the 73rd FIFA Congress, on March 14, Vietnam Football Federation President Tran Quoc Tuan and Norges Fotballforbund President Lise Klaveness jointly signed a football cooperation agreement on community football in the period from 2023 to 2026 through the continued implementation of the project “Football For All in Vietnam” (FFAV).

VFF introduces the head coach of national team
This morning at the headquarters of the VFF took place the ceremony to announce the head coach of the Vietnam national football team. Accordingly, Mr. Philippe Troussier (French nationality) officially became the head coach of the Vietnam national football team for a period of 3 years (from March 1, 2023 to July 31, 2026).

On the morning of February 26, French strategist Philippe Troussier was present in Vietnam after a direct flight from Paris to Hanoi. He will take the reins to lead the Vietnamese national team towards a new stage of development. General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi and Deputy Secretary General Nguyen Thanh Ha went to the airport to welcome and greet the new head coach with flowers.

On the morning of February 17, at the headquarters of the VFF, the first meeting of the Licensing Committee took place since the 9th VFF Congress (term of 2023-2026). Representatives of the VFF leaders attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary.
