U20 Vietnam are allowed to participate in Asiad 19 and AFF U23 Championship 2023
As part of the plan to build a force for the national team to achieve long-term goals, and based on the schedule of international tournaments in 2023, the Vietnam Football Federation has decided to establish two U23 Vietnam teams for the separate missions, in which one team will participate in the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifier and the other will participate in 2 tournaments including Asiad 19 and the 2023 AFF U23 Championship.
