Closing Ceremony of the Japan – Vietnam Youth Football Training Workshop 2025
On the morning of October 8, 2025, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the VFF, in collaboration with the Japan Football Association (JFA) and the Japan Sport Council, held the closing ceremony of the Youth Football Training Workshop in Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Yusuke Miura – Deputy Director of Youth Development at JFA, Assistant Coach of Japan U15 and U17 national teams, and lecturer of the workshop; Mr. Yutaka Ikeuchi – JFA expert and technical advisor for youth football at the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary and Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee; Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Head of the Department of Grassroots Football, Training and Member Associations of VFF, along with 27 participants from professional football clubs, women’s football clubs, and youth training centers nationwide.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Yusuke Miura expressed his positive impressions of the development potential of Vietnamese youth football and encouraged the coaches to remain committed to their work. “This is my first time in Vietnam, and I can see great potential in Vietnamese football. I hope the coaches will continue their efforts in youth development. I look forward to returning to Vietnam to further share knowledge and experience between Japanese and Vietnamese football,” said Mr. Yusuke Miura.
On behalf of the participants, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Japan Football Association (JFA), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and the workshop instructors. He also expressed his hope that the two federations would continue to jointly organize similar programs in the future, creating more opportunities for learning and knowledge exchange to help Vietnamese football reach regional and international levels.
Representing the VFF leadership, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary and Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee – emphasized the importance of youth training in the overall development strategy of Vietnamese football. She reaffirmed that the VFF always values and prioritizes youth football development at clubs and training centers. “We will continue to organize more professional workshops to provide coaches with access to advanced coaching methodologies, thereby contributing to the enhancement of Vietnamese football on the international stage,” emphasized Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang.
The Japan – Vietnam Youth Football Training Workshop took place over two days (October 7–8, 2025) at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), focusing on the theme “The Philosophy of Youth Football Development and Coaching Methods of the Japan Football Association (JFA).”
