Closing Ceremony of the of the National Professional Football Leagues 2024/25 Match Commissioner Course
On the morning of September 11th, after three days of intensive and rigorous work, the training program for match officials of the National Professional Football Leagues for the 2024/25 season officially concluded at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu and VFF Secretary General Duong Nghiep Khoi attended the event and delivered speeches providing guidance.
The training program ran from September 9th to September 11th, with the participation of 28 match officials. The officials were instructed on professional match supervision, drew lessons from the 2023/24 season, and were updated on the changes and additions to the 2024/25 Competition Rules.
At the closing ceremony, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu acknowledged the focused and serious working spirit of the match officials during the pre-season training for 2024/25. Vice President Tran Anh Tu emphasized the crucial role of match officials, who are considered the “extended arm” of the organizing committee and league management. He stressed the need for officials to fully concentrate on their work, master the skills required for managing and operating matches, and particularly to maintain close coordination with the league management, the organizing committee, and the club’s match organization team to address any issues that arise before, during, and after each match.
At the end of the final training day, the match officials were awarded certificates of completion, signifying their readiness to begin their duties. This training program was the last of several pre-season training sessions, following the programs for referees, referees’ assistants, and the coordination training for match coordinators, media personnel, and security staff involved in the tournament.
The new 2024/2025 season of the National Professional Football League commenced with the National Super Cup Thaco 2023/2024 match between Nam Dinh Steel FC (Night Wolf V.League 1 champions) and Dong A Thanh Hoa FC (Casper Cup champions) on August 31. According to the schedule, the LPBank V.League 2024/2025 is set to start on September 14-15, featuring competition among the top 14 professional clubs in Vietnam.
