On the afternoon of Dec 02, the qualifying of U21 National Thanh Nien Championship 2021 started in 3 venues included Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre, PVF Centre, and Viettel Sports Centre.

Speaking in the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – VFF Deputy General Secretary, Vice Chairman of the tournament emphasised that U21 National Thanh Nien Championship is an important tournament in the Vietnam youth competition system, to prepare the force for national teams in the event of 2022, especially SEA Games 31. On behalf of VFF and the organisation committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau thanked the cooperation of clubs, teams, referees, commissioners, etc. as well as Thanh Nien Co., sponsors, and local organisations in 3 venues.
The tournament has 18 participating teams, taking place from Dec 02 to Dec 12 in 3 venues: Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre (Group A), PVF (Group B), and Viettel Sports Centre (Group C). The final will take place from Dec 16 to Dec 25 in PVF.
