The Vietnamese team, consisting of 25 players, would welcome the return of veterans including goalkeepers Duong Hong Son and Nguyen The Anh, centreback Nguyen Manh Dung, midfielder Nguyen Huu Thang and forward Dang Phuong Nam.
Vietnam will play Thailand in their opening game on December 24, Kazakhstan on December 26 and Singapore on December 28.
Following is the list of the Vietnamese team in preparation for the event:
Goalkeepers: Bui Quang Huy, Nguyen The Anh and Duong Hong Son;
Defenders: Phung Van Nhien, Huynh Quang Thanh, Nguyen Minh Duc, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Van Bien, Nguyen Manh Dung, Le Dinh Luat and Nguyen Nhu Thanh;
Midfielders: Nguyen Vu Phong, Le Tan Tai, Tran Duc Duong, Phan Van Tai Em, Nguyen Minh Phuong, Thach Bao Khanh, Nguyen Minh Chuyen and Nguyen Huu Thang;
Forwards: Le Cong Vinh, Phan Thanh Binh, Nguyen Anh Duc, Dang Van Thanh and Dang Phuong Nam.
