Expert Yutaka Ikeuchi becomes the technical advisor and supervisor for the Vietnam U17 national team
On February 12, 2025, the Vietnam Football Federation officially signed a contract with Japanese expert Yutaka Ikeuchi to serve as the technical advisor and supervisor for the Vietnam U17 national team, participating in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025.
The AFF Annual Congress 2024 recognizes Myanmar as an AFF Council Member
Today (November 29), the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Annual Congress took place in Vientiane, Laos, with the participation of 12 member football associations. Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the Congress were VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan – AFF Council Member, AFF Competition Committee Chairman, AFF Finance Committee Member, and Vice Presidents Nguyen Trung Kien and Nguyen Xuan Vu.

On the morning of November 28th, the opening ceremony of the 8th National Press Agencies Football Tournament – Press Cup 2024 officially took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VFF).
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú was appointed as the General Secretary of VFF for the 9th Term (2022-2026)
At the 7th meeting of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Executive Committee for the 9th Term (2022-2026), it was unanimously agreed to appoint Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú as the General Secretary of the VFF for the 9th Term (2022-2026), replacing Mr. Dương Nghiệp Khôi, who resigned from the position of General Secretary of the VFF due to personal reasons.
The 7th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for the 9th Term (2022-2026)
On the afternoon of November 21, 2024, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the 7th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the VFF for the 9th Term (2022-2026) took place. The Executive Committee discussed and approved several important topics, including the plan for organizing the VFF’s 2024 Annual Congress, the report on the organization of the 2024/2025 National Professional Football Leagues and the proposed plan for 2025/2026, the report evaluating the professional work of the national football teams in 2024, and some key objectives and tasks for 2025.
VFF and Acecook Vietnam are aiming for a long-term partnership
This morning (November 13), VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn and VFF Vice President Nguyễn Trung Kiên visited and worked at the Acecook Vietnam office. They were welcomed by Mr. Kaneda Hiroki, CEO of Acecook Vietnam, along with representatives from various departments of the company.
FFAV and PVF honored AFC 2024 Special Awards
At the AFC 2024 Special Awards ceremony, held alongside the AFC Women’s Football Conference 2024 on November 12, Vietnamese football received a Special Award in the category of Best Grassroots Project for the “Football For All in Vietnam” (FFAV) project. The Best Grassroots Leader Award went to Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Phương, Director of the FFAV project, and the Youth Academy of the Year (Boys) Award was presented to the PVF Football Training Center.
AFC-UEFA women’s football programme in Vietnam
Mr. Chris Milnes, UEFA International Relations Project Specialist, highlighted the huge potential of women’s football in Vietnam during a recent strategy development workshop in Hanoi as part of the AFC-UEFA women’s football programme. He praised the commitment of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and highlighted how the programme will act as a catalyst for the development of girls and women’s football and the long-term success of the “Vietnam Golden Star Women Warriors.”
