FPT Play named Title Sponsor of the 2026 National U21 Football Championship Finals
Today (6 July), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and FPT Play officially announced FPT Play as the title sponsor of the 2026 National U21 Football Championship – Cup FPT PLAY. The announcement was made during the sponsorship signing ceremony, which was followed by the official draw for the tournament fixtures.
Attending the announcement ceremony on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, VFF General Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, VFF Deputy General Secretary; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, VFF Deputy General Secretary; and Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang, VFF Deputy General Secretary.
Representing FPT Television Company Limited were Ms. To Nam Phuong, Head of External Relations at FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company and Deputy General Director of FPT Television Company Limited, and Mr. Tran Quy Long, Head of Sports Content Production at FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company, together with representatives of the teams competing in the 2026 National U21 Football Championship Finals – FPT Play Cup.
With FPT Play’s support, the tournament will benefit from secured financial backing and comprehensive live coverage across multiple platforms, including terrestrial television, cable, satellite, IPTV, the Internet, mobile devices, public viewing systems, and social media channels. This partnership is expected to provide strong momentum for one of Vietnam’s key youth football competitions, making an important contribution to the development of young talent and the long-term growth of Vietnamese football.
The tournament will also offer promising young players valuable opportunities to compete, gain match experience, and progressively enhance both their technical abilities and competitive mentality in a professional environment.

The Final Round of the 2026 National U21 Football Championship – FPT Play Cup is scheduled to take place from 12 to 25 July 2026. On this occasion, Ms. To Nam Phuong also highlighted that, immediately following the U21 tournament, FPT Play will continue to bring fans top-class football action with the ASEAN Hyundai Cup™ 2026, taking place from 24 July to 26 August, where Vietnam’s national team will compete on the regional stage.
By partnering with, producing, and broadcasting both tournaments, FPT Play demonstrates its commitment to supporting the full pathway of Vietnamese football—from youth development to elite regional competition. Following an exciting qualifying stage that concluded on 5 July, the 2026 National U21 Football Championship has confirmed the 12 teams that will compete in the Final Round at the PVF Youth Football Training Centre in Hung Yen Province. The finalists will battle for the championship title and the FPT Play Cup, with a total prize fund of VND 500 million.
The participating teams are The Cong Viettel, Hanoi, PVF, Cong An Ha Noi, Song Lam Nghe An, LPBank HAGL, SHB Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, An Giang, and the host team PVF-CAND.
According to the official draw, the 12 teams have been divided into three groups and will compete in a single round-robin format. The three group winners, three runners-up, and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and the final, which is scheduled for 25 July.
To further enhance the tournament’s broadcast quality, FPT Play will produce all 25 matches in Full HD, using up to six cameras per match. In addition, the broadcaster plans to produce accompanying programmes that will give fans comprehensive coverage of the young teams’ journey towards the championship title.
All matches of the 2026 National U21 Football Championship – FPT Play Cup will be broadcast exclusively with professional commentary across FPT Play’s platforms, including its website, Smart TV application, mobile app, FPT Play Box, and the official social media channels of both FPT Play and the tournament.
