The leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Administration, and the VFF wish the Vietnamese women’s national team a Happy New Year

On the occasion of preparing to welcome the new year, this morning (February 15), the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Administration, and the Vietnam Football Federation visited, encouraged, and extended New Year wishes to the Vietnamese women’s national team, who are currently training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Hoàng Đạo Cương – Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Minh – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration; and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation.

In his report to the Ministry’s leaders and managing units, head coach Mai Đức Chung stated that the entire team is strictly maintaining their training schedule, ensuring the volume and intensity according to the planned program. Despite being close to Tet, the players still demonstrate a focused spirit, professional awareness, and high determination, aiming for important tasks in 2026.

On behalf of the coaching staff and players, Coach Mai Đức Chung expressed gratitude for the timely concern and encouragement from the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Administration, and the Vietnam Football Federation, considering this a great motivation for the team to continue striving.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoàng Đạo Cương acknowledged and highly appreciated the team’s serious training spirit and persistent efforts, especially during the days close to the Lunar New Year. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the achievements of the Vietnamese women’s national team in recent times have significantly contributed to the overall success of Vietnamese sports. He also affirmed that the leadership of the Ministry, the Vietnam Sports Administration, and the Vietnam Football Federation will continue to create the most favorable conditions for the team to accomplish their goals in the upcoming year.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Administration, and the Vietnam Football Federation extended New Year wishes to the entire coaching staff, players, and their families, wishing the team a new year filled with good health, luck, and continued success.

According to the plan, this afternoon, the players will return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families. The entire team will regroup on February 18th to continue training and prepare for upcoming international commitments.
