The leadership of the VFF visited some players who are undergoing injury treatment
During December 3rd and 4th, the leadership representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) personally visited two players, Nguyễn Văn Trường and Nguyễn Thị Vạn, who are undergoing injury treatment.
On the afternoon of December 3rd, on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Vice President Nguyễn Xuân Vũ and General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú visited the training center of Hanoi FC to see player Nguyễn Văn Trường, who is undergoing treatment after surgery.
Representing the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Board, Vice President Nguyễn Xuân Vũ sent words of encouragement, inquiring about Trường’s health, and urged him to stay optimistic and make efforts to recover so he can return to the field soon and continue contributing to Vietnamese football. The VFF will continue to accompany Hanoi FC to create the best conditions for Nguyễn Văn Trường to recover quickly and return to the pitch.
General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú conveyed the greetings from VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn to the player and discussed with doctors and medical staff about Trường’s recovery process. He also encouraged Trường to stay calm during treatment and strictly follow the prescribed medical regimen to achieve the best results.
Representing Hanoi FC, Executive Director Lê Trọng Thủy expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for their concern and support for Nguyễn Văn Trường. The club will coordinate closely with the VFF’s functional departments to create the best conditions for the young midfielder to recover and return to the field soon.
Nguyễn Văn Trường, born in 2003, sustained an injury during the match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Korea at the Panda Cup 2025 (China). The injury resulted from a collision with an opponent in an unfavorable position, leading to a torn ligament injury.
Immediately upon returning to Vietnam, Trường was examined by specialized doctors and successfully underwent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery. He is currently undergoing active treatment and maintaining an optimistic spirit during his recovery process.
It is hoped that Nguyễn Văn Trường will soon return stronger, continuing to contribute to the national teams and Vietnamese football.
On the afternoon of December 4th, General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú visited female midfielder Nguyễn Thị Vạn (Vietnam Women’s National Team) who is undergoing treatment for an injury at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
During training with the national women’s team preparing for SEA Games 33, Nguyễn Thị Vạn suffered a broken left clavicle and had to withdraw from the tournament. This absence also affected the team’s midfield, especially in the context of the team missing Chương Thị Kiều (due to injury) and Nguyễn Thị Tuyết Dung (who has transitioned to coaching).
On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú encouraged Nguyễn Thị Vạn to diligently follow the treatment plan prescribed by doctors at Vinmec Hospital to recover quickly and continue contributing. Currently, Vạn is wearing a brace and performing stationary exercises with her leg. The timing of her return to training will depend on her recovery progress and medical assessment.
We hope Nguyễn Thị Vạn will recover soon and return to the field even stronger.
