The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) elected Duong Vu Lam vice president as the fifth congress of the VFF met in Hanoi on January 10.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) elected Duong Vu Lam vice president as the fifth congress of the VFF met in Hanoi on January 10.
The newspaper quoted Mr Lam as saying that it was his honour to be elected vice president of the VFF and he would try his best, perfecting a project on Vietnamese football development and promoting the development of young talented footballers.
Mr Lam was elected the post which had been vacant since Le The Tho stepped down in 2005 after the 23rd SEA Games due to match-fixing scandals.
At the congress, VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy stressed two main targets of Vietnamese football. Accordingly, VFF will have to work out development orientations for 2007 and throughout 2020 to bring Vietnam in the top ten in Asia in 2020.
General secretary Tran Quoc Tuan and vice president Le Hung Dung made a review of Vietnamese football”s activities in 2005 and 2006 and deveopment orientations for 2007.
