VFF General Secretary Nguyễn Văn Phú appointed to FIFA’s Medical Committee for the 2025–2029 term
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has officially appointed Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), as a member of the FIFA Medical Committee for the 2025–2029 term.

According to FIFA’s official announcement, the decision was approved at the FIFA Council meeting held on October 2, 2025. As a member of the FIFA Medical Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú will work alongside leading sports medicine experts worldwide to advise, develop, and oversee the implementation of medical policies and regulations in football, contributing to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of players globally.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú currently also serves as a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Medical Committee. His continued appointment to FIFA’s Medical Committee reflects recognition of his professional competence and personal reputation, while also marking an important step forward for Vietnamese football in its ongoing process of international integration and reputation building on the global stage.
