Vietnam U17 Women’s National Team begins friendly matches tour in Japan
As part of their training camp in Nagoya City (Japan) in preparation for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026, set to take place in May in China, the Vietnam U17 women’s national team will enter a series of friendly matches to assess the squad and further refine their tactics and performance.

According to the plan, the Vietnam U17 women’s national team will play three friendly matches against Fujieda Junshin High School (April 7), Iwata Higashi High School (April 8), and Aichi Toho University (April 11). These are all strong opponents with good technical quality, promising to provide valuable challenges for the team during their preparation.
To serve the objective of testing the lineup and evaluating player performance, each match will be played in three periods of 40 minutes each. This will give the coaching staff of the Vietnam U17 women’s team a valuable opportunity to assess each position, identify the optimal lineup, and develop tactical approaches suited to different opponents.
The Vietnam U17 women’s national team arrived in Japan on April 5 and quickly settled into their accommodation and daily routines. Ahead of their first friendly match, the team held two training sessions to adapt to the weather conditions, pitch, and to readjust their physical condition after the journey.
Their first friendly match is scheduled to take place at 14:00 local time on April 7 (12:00 Vietnam time), against Fujieda Junshin High School.
