Viettel appointed Official Media Partner of AFC competitions in Vietnam
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) today announced a new multi-year media rights partnership with Viettel Group, appointing the company as the Official Media Partner for a wide range of the AFC’s national team and club competitions in Vietnam, with the agreement coming into force and effect from January 1, 2026.
Through this agreement, Viettel will deliver comprehensive coverage of Asia’s premier football competitions via its TV360 platform, providing over 10 million active users across Vietnam with enhanced access to world-class Asian football content.
The agreement will see TV360 deliver extensive coverage of the AFC’s flagship national team, youth, futsal and club competitions in Vietnam. This includes the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ and the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ as well as the 2028 edition. Selected key national team matches will be made available on a free to air basis.
The partnership also encompasses a comprehensive portfolio of other women’s, youth and futsal tournaments, including the AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament (Final Round) for Los Angeles 2028, the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2027™ to be held in China PR, certain matches of the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ from 2026 to 2028, which are scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia, the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ as well as the 2028 edition, certain matches of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ to be held in China PR from 2026 to 2028 and the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026™ as well as the 2028 iteration.
Additionally, TV360 will broadcast the AFC’s premier club competitions, including the AFC Champions League Elite™, AFC Champions League Two™ and the AFC Women’s Champions League™ from the 2025/26 season (with matches commencing from January 1, 2026) through to the 2028/29 season.
With its strong digital ecosystem and extensive reach, Viettel’s TV360 platform will play a key role in bringing the AFC’s competitions closer to Vietnamese fans, strengthening engagement with Asian football at both national team and club levels.
