At the start of the match, the Vietnamese team entered the game confidently, organizing their play with quick rotations across all three lines and rapidly creating threatening situations near the opponent’s goal. In the 3rd minute, Ngọc Ánh opened the scoring with a precise assist from goalkeeper Phạm Văn Tú.

Despite Kuwait’s efforts to press and exert pressure, Coach Diego Giustozzi’s players demonstrated their ability to break the press coherently, calmly deploying their tactics and continuously creating dangerous opportunities. In the 13th minute, Thành Phát missed a chance to double the lead when he shot wide despite an open goal.

In the second half, Vietnam continued to maintain their disciplined gameplay. In the 27th minute, Nguyễn Mạnh Dũng increased the score to 2-0 after intercepting the ball from his own half and finishing accurately. However, just seconds later, Kuwait reduced the deficit to 1-2 from a 6-meter penalty kick, following a handball by a Vietnamese player inside the penalty area.

Unfazed, the Vietnamese team quickly regained their rhythm. In the 34th minute, Ngọc Ánh completed his brace, making the score 3-1. In the final minutes, Kuwait played a powerplay to seek a goal, but Vietnam’s defensive system operated solidly, successfully thwarting all attacking efforts, and securing a 3-1 victory.

With victories in both friendly matches against the host team Kuwait (3-2 and 3-1), the Vietnamese futsal team not only gained valuable experience in personnel and tactics but also affirmed their progress in controlling the game and their international competitiveness. Young players such as Ngọc Ánh, Công Đại, and Đa Hải left a strong impression, alongside the leadership of seasoned veterans with extensive experience.

Coach Diego Giustozzi stated that after this training camp, he will trim the squad down to 14 official players for the AFC Futsal Championship 2026 qualifiers.

According to the schedule, at 0:00 on September 14th (Kuwait time), the team will leave for the airport, take a 3:30 AM flight to Dubai, and then continue their journey to Hangzhou, China — the host city for Group E matches.

In the AFC Futsal Championship 2026 qualifiers, Vietnam will face Hong Kong (China) on September 20, China on September 22, and Lebanon on September 24.
