Today (February 15), Vietnam futsal team ended the first gathering in 2023 to prepare for the 2024 Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier. After more than a month of training at Thai Son Nam Gymnasium – District 8 (HCMC), the whole team has completed the set goal when achieving positive changes in fitness.

Today (January 9), Vietnam futsal team gathered for the first time in 2023 to look forward to the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifier, which will take place from October 2 to October 13, 2023.

At 2pm (Hanoi time) today afternoon (10/6), Vietnam national futsal team has arrived at Tay Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City) closing off their journey in the AFC Futsal Championship 2022.

On the occasion of the business trip to Kuwait, on the afternoon of Sep 26, VFF Acting President Tran Quoc Tuan visited and encouraged the Vietnam Futsal team before the first match in AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2022.

On the evening of Sep 24, Vietnam futsal team under the guidance of new head coach Giustozzi Diego Raul took a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuwait to attend the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Kuwait 2022

In the last match of Group B of the Continental futsal Championship 2022, which took place on the afternoon of September 13, Vietnam Team did not create a surprise against Iran – the No. 1 futsal team in Asia. However, the performance of the players showed a positive face of the Vietnamese team under the leadership of the new head coach Diego.

On the afternoon of September 12, Vietnam futsal team had the opening match at the 2022 Continental Futsal Championship. Against the Finland team, which was higher appreciated, the team of head coach Giustozzi Diego Raul had a good performance in the first half with 2 goals ahead, but lost the final with a score of 2-4.

After arriving in Thailand, Vietnam futsal team has actively trained to prepare for the opening match at the friendly tournament Continental Futsal Championship 2022. This tournament is highly appreciated by coach Giustozzi Diego Raul for the quality with the participation of high-class teams. This will help him and the team prepare well for the 2022 AFC Futsal Championship.

Vietnam took the third spot in the competition this year after beating Myanmar 4-1 in the penalty shootout to also win a place in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Kuwait later in September.

Created many scoring opportunities, but the unlucky in the finishing caused Vietnam futsal team to receive a 1-3 defeat against a strong opponent Thailand in the semi-finals of the 2022 AFF futsal championship. With the result, head coach Pham Minh Giang’s team will meet Myanmar again in the third place match to compete for the final spot in the 2022 AFC Futsal Cup.
