FIFA President Sends New Year Greetings to Vietnamese Football and the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF)
Ahead of the New Year 2026, FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). In the letter, President Gianni Infantino expressed his sincere appreciation for the valuable support and cooperation of the VFF throughout 2025, a year marked by groundbreaking events, including the FIFA Club World Cup.

In the letter, the FIFA President looked ahead to 2026 with high expectations, affirming that it will be a memorable year for world football, as the FIFA World Cup will, for the first time in history, be staged with the participation of 48 national teams and co-hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
According to the plan, the FIFA World Cup 2026 will take place from 11 June to 19 July 2026. President Gianni Infantino emphasized that the tournament is not only the greatest football festival on the planet, but also an event that helps connect the world and spread the values of peace, unity, and friendship among nations.
In closing, the FIFA President conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation, and his family for a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026, and expressed his hope to meet again in the near future.
