On Oct 29, VFF submitted the list of licensed clubs who will be able to join in the national championship and AFC clubs competition 2022.

- Hoàng Anh Gia Lai FC;
- Viettel FC;
- Nam Định FC;
- Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC;
- Becamex Bình Dương FC;
- Hà Nội FC;
- SHB Đà Nẵng FC;
- Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh FC;
- Hồ Chí Minh City FC;
- Sài Gòn FC;
- Hải Phòng FC.
II/ Sông Lam Nghệ An FC and Binh Dinh FC were approved by VFF Executive Committee to join in the national championship as the exceptions and receive punishment is a reprimand.
These 02 clubs are not allowed to join in the AFC clubs competition 2022
III/ Than Quang Ninh FC is not allowed to join in the national championship and AFC clubs competition 2022 due to failure to meet the mandatory A-class licensing criteria on the online licensing system, and (2) Quang Ninh Football 1 TV Co., Ltd – the management unit of Than Quang Ninh football club temporarily ceased operations.
