Three new players including goalie Nguyen Thanh Hao, and two defenders Duong Thi Phuong Thao and Nguyen Thi Chang have been called up for the national women”s football team in preparation for their two qualifying games with Japan and the Republic of Korea.
The three players were in top form at the national championship. Goalie Nguyen Thanh Hao won the national championship with Vietnam Coal and Minerals.
Meanwhile, Phuong Thao and Nguyen Thi Chang were key players for Hanoi, who finished third.
Alongside the three, the national team welcome back Do Thi Thu Trang, Bui Thi Tuyet, Le Thi Thuong, Do Hong Tien and Do Thi Ngoc Cham.
The women”s team will train in Hanoi from July 29 before moving to Haiphong on August 1 to prepare for their home clash against Japan on August 4 and their away match with the Republic of Korea on August 12.
After two matches, the team will continue to train in Hanoi in preparation for the Southeast Asian championship in Myanmar from September 4-16.
