Opening Ceremony of the 2026 National U19 Women’s Football Championship – Acecook Cup

On the afternoon of January 7, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the opening ceremony and the opening matches of the 2026 National U19 Women’s Football Championship – Acecook Cup took place.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu, Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Mai Duc Chung, Vice Chairman of the National Coaches Council and Head Coach of the Vietnam Women’s National Team; Mr. Tran Huy Duc, Member of the Executive Committee and Deputy Head of the VFF Women’s Football Department; Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Member of the VFF Referees Committee; Mr. Okiyama Masahiko, Head Coach of the Vietnam U16 Women’s National Team and expert in charge of youth women’s football development; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy General Secretary of the VFF and Head of the Organizing Committee; and Ms. Tran Thi Bich Lien, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the host venue for the first leg of the tournament.

Representing the tournament’s main sponsor was Mr. Nguyen Duc Manh, representative of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company. The opening ceremony was also attended by Mr. Mai The Hung, Director of External Relations of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company, along with team officials, members of the press and television media, as well as enthusiastic support from spectators and football fans.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Head of the Organizing Committee, expressed her pleasure and emphasized that this is the third consecutive year that the VFF has cooperated with Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company to organize the National U19 Women’s Football Championship.

“On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to sincerely thank and highly appreciate the long-term, responsible support of Acecook Vietnam for Vietnamese football, especially women’s football and youth development. This valuable support contributes to improving the quality of the tournament and serves as an important source of encouragement for young female players to continue striving, developing, and asserting their talent.

The Organizing Committee believes that, with thorough preparation by the relevant units, the dedication of each member of the Organizing Committee, and especially the serious, determined competitive spirit of the teams, together with the support of the main sponsor Acecook Vietnam and other sponsors, the 2026 National U19 Women’s Football Championship – Acecook Cup will achieve a high professional standard. The matches are expected to be lively and exciting, bringing fans attractive performances and a strong spirit of fair play,” Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha said.

For his part, representing the tournament’s main sponsor, Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Duc Manh expressed his gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation, relevant authorities, departments, and all those who contributed to organizing this meaningful tournament.

The 2026 National U19 Women’s Football Championship – Acecook Cup features the participation of five teams: Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen T&T, Hanoi, and Than Khoang San Vietnam. The teams compete in a double round-robin format (home and away). Specifically, the first leg of the tournament takes place from January 7 to January 20, 2026 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, while the second leg is scheduled from January 27 to February 7, 2026 at Ha Nam Stadium (Ninh Binh Province).

To better serve football fans, the Vietnam Football Federation will livestream the tournament’s matches on the VFF Channel YouTube channel and the VFF Facebook fanpage. The opening matchday at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center features the following fixtures: Hanoi vs. Phong Phu Ha Nam (3:30 PM) and Ho Chi Minh City vs. Thai Nguyen T&T (6:00 PM).
