Opening ceremony of U21 National Thanh Nien Championship 2021 Final

In the afternoon of Dec 12, the opening ceremony of the U21 National Thanh Nien Championship 2021 Final was organised in PVF Centre, the first two games also kick-off with group A.

The delegation included Mrs. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy General Director of General Department of Physical Training and Sports; Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary, Chairman of Organisation Committee; Mr. Do Van Kiem – Deputy Director of Hung Yen’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe – Chairman of Thanh Nien Co. board, Chairman of Organisation Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Vice General Director of PVF Centre, host of the final round.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoai Anh emphasized this is the most difficult tournament during the history of the U21 Championship, however with the effort of VFF, Thanh Nien Co., the teams, match commissioner, referee, and hosts, the qualifier finished with the finding out of Top 8. VFF believed the final round will have high qualifier games, preparing for the U23 national team forward to the international mission of 2023, especially SEA Games 31 in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe said: “The final round takes place in the context that the whole society is continuing to prevent the epidemic while implementing economic, cultural and sports activities in the context of the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic. Provinces and clubs have created all conditions for their teams to compete in the qualifying round. The final round has the eight strongest teams participating in the tournament, which is the force and resource to prepare for the SEA Games 31 next year. On behalf of the Organisation Committee, I would like to thank the authorities and health department of Hung Yen, Hanoi, Nam Dinh, especially PVF Center and sponsors for their efforts to overcome many difficulties and obstacles to successfully organise this tournament”.
