We understand the challenges faced by the referee assessors and referees in carrying out their duties, and the VFF will provide maximum support to help them complete their tasks. The VFF also asks the training organizers to create favorable conditions regarding facilities and expertise for the participants. I would like to thank all the referees and instructors for their assistance in helping the supervisors and referees this season,” said Ms. Thanh Hà.
To prepare for the new season, the training for referee assessors and referees of the 2025 National Non-Professional Football Leagues is being held from December 16 to December 20. On the afternoon of December 16, a fitness test for the referees participating in the training was conducted at the Hanoi Athletics Arena. The result showed that 100% of the referees completed this important test. Specifically, 45 referees (23 referees and 22 assistant referees) passed the fitness test under the supervision and evaluation of the members of the VFF Referee Committee, including Mr. Đặng Thanh Hạ, Mr. Võ Quang Vinh, and two referee instructors, Ngô Quốc Hưng and Nguyễn Trung Kiên.
Mr. Đặng Thanh Hạ – Chairman of the Arbitration Committee expressed his hope: “The referee assessors and referees are preparing for the new season in 2025. As the Head of the Referee Committee, I would like to thank the referee assessors and referees for their active participation and support in helping the VFF successfully manage the system from professional to non-professional leagues. This training session welcomes two new referee assessors, along with many new faces in the role of referee assessors. I hope the members of this training session will take it seriously, enhance their studies, and update their knowledge to prepare as thoroughly as possible for the upcoming season.”
The training session also bid farewell to three referee assessors: Nguyễn Tấn Hiền, Phạm Chu Thiện, and Phạm Phú Hùng. On behalf of the three referees, Phạm Chu Thiện expressed: “I have been with the VFF for nearly 40 years, starting as a referee when there was only one supervisor, and later becoming a referee supervisor. From the times when we had no instructors to the present, when football has everything in place with full support from FIFA, everything has improved significantly. I wish the leadership of the VFF and the Referee Committee good health and continued success.”
According to the plan, after the opening ceremony, the referee assessors and referees will continue with the content outlined in the 4-day training schedule. Today (December 17) marks the first day of training for the match commissioners. Important topics such as the organization of non-professional national leagues, regulations for non-professional football, updates on competition rules, lessons learned from referee and supervisor duties during the 2024 season, and various discussion topics based on real-life situations will be incorporated into the training sessions by the instructors.
Immediately after the completion of the 2025 National Non-Professional Leagues Referee and Match Official Training, qualified match commissioners and referees will be assigned to officiate at non-professional national tournaments in 2025. The earliest of these is the 2024/25 National U19 Championship qualifiers, which will officially kick off on December 22 at the host locations.
