U20 Vietnam has an international friendly match with U20 Palestine at Viet Tri
As part of the preparation plan for the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifier, U20 Vietnam will have an international friendly match with U20 Palestine on September 3 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho.
Having one more international friendly match for U20 Vietnam before the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifier is a great effort of VFF, with the desire to create the best conditions for U20 players to have more experience and bravery in the next continental arena. This can also be seen as a rehearsal match for U20 Vietnam before moving to Indonesia to participate in the competition in Group F – AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifier 2023. Likewise, with U20 Palestine, the match against U20 Vietnam is also a test of quality towards the 2023 Asian U20 Qualifier, where they will face the challenge in Group C with: Japan, Yemen, Laos and Guam.
Before that, U20 Vietnam who had just come back from the 2022 AFF U19 Championship continued to have valuable experiences at the 2022 Youth International U19 Tournament. In this competition, head coach Dinh The Nam’s team won 2-0 against Myanmar, 2-1 against Malaysia and 1-0 against Thailand in the group stage, then continued to beat Malaysia in the penalty shootout in the final to be crowned champion. Although it is an international friendly tournament, the matches were very meaningful to the progress of U20 Vietnam’s players.
Currently, U20 Vietnam is training at J-Green Sakai Training Center, Osaka, Japan. During this training session, coach Dinh The Nam’s team had two useful friendly matches against U20 Japan and U18 Cerezo Osaka. As planned, on August 25, U20 Vietnam will continue to have another match with Osaka Sangyo University before returning to Vietnam to complete the final preparation for the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifier.
Information about the international friendly match between U20 Vietnam and U20 Palestine will continue to be updated.
