VFF’s First Instant Body holds its second meeting of 2025
On May 14th, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to decide on granting licenses to clubs participating in the AFC club competitions for the 2025/26 season through the online licensing system.
Representatives of VFF leaders attending the meeting were Associate Prof.Dr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Chairman of the VFF First Instant Body, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Deputy Chairperson. The Appeal Body includes Mr. Le Dang Tung – Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong – Deputy Chairman. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the VFF; along with other committee members.
Accordingly, the members of the First Instant Body agreed on the following:
1. To grant licenses to 11 football clubs to participate in the AFC club competitions for the 2025/26 season, as they meet the criteria for A and B licenses. These clubs are: Nam Định, Hà Nội, Thể Công – Viettel, Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, Công an Hà Nội, Đông Á Thanh Hóa, Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, Becamex Bình Dương, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Quảng Nam, and SHB Đà Nẵng.
2. To deny licenses to 4 clubs — PVF-CAND, Phù Đổng Ninh Bình, Sông Lam Nghệ An, Quy Nhơn Bình Định — for the AFC club competitions in the 2025/26 season, due to their withdrawal requests and failure to complete the licensing documentation within the prescribed deadline.
According to the plan, on May 23, 2025, the VFF First Instant Body will continue to hold a meeting to grant licenses for clubs participating in the National Championship for the 2025/26 season.
