Speaking on behalf of the VFF Standing Executive Committee at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee, highly commended the achievements of the Vinh Long Football Federation during the past term. He also highlighted the special significance of the Congress, which took place as Vinh Long Province enters a new stage of development following the implementation of the government’s administrative reorganization policy.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi noted that, with a population of more than 4.5 million people, along with an extensive network of schools, educational institutions, cultural and sports facilities, and a growing grassroots football movement, Vinh Long possesses favorable conditions for building a comprehensive football ecosystem spanning community football, school football, youth development, and high-performance football.
The Vietnam Football Federation expects the newly elected Executive Committee to formulate a long-term development strategy, with community football and school football serving as the foundation. Priority should also be given to youth development, the promotion of women’s football, improving the quality of football human resources, and further strengthening social mobilization and stakeholder engagement in football development.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its close cooperation with and support for the Vinh Long Football Federation in the training and development of coaches, referees, match commissioners, and football administrators. In addition, VFF will assist in enhancing competition organization, promoting youth and school football, and expanding community football programmes, thereby contributing to the overall development of football in the province.
