The 5th FIFA Compliance Summit was held over two days (April 9 and 10, 2025) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the participation of over 200 delegates from football federations around the world. In his opening remarks delivered via video, FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the crucial role of compliance for member federations within FIFA’s organizational system.

Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the summit, VFF General Secretary Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú participated in several activities, including meetings and experience-sharing sessions with representatives from FIFA and the football federations of Brazil, Sweden, Chinese Taipei, South Africa, and others.

The summit featured a series of presentations delivered by FIFA instructors, officials, and representatives from international organizations, focusing on key issues such as financial compliance and auditing, player rights protection, child development in football, maintaining a balance between government bodies and football federations, and cybersecurity.

A highlight of the event was a compelling presentation by Brazilian football legend Mauro Silva, a FIFA World Cup 1994 champion, on the topic of nurturing football dreams among Brazilian and global youth.

Delegates also engaged in both group and general discussions throughout the summit, reaffirming their commitment to complying with FIFA regulations and the standards set by global football organizations. The summit concluded on April 10, 2025.
