The AFC/VFF ‘B’ Certificate Coaching Course 2025 – Module 2, co-organized by the Vietnam Football Federation, officially concluded after two training phases: Phase 1 from 8–19 September and Phase 2 from 14–23 November 2025. The course attracted the participation of many experienced coaches, including former Women’s Golden Ball winner Đỗ Thị Ngọc Châm and former Vietnam national team captain Lê Công Vinh.

Module 2 of the course featured several notable highlights, marking the first time that three Vietnamese instructors participated together: Technical Director Koshida Takeshi as the lead instructor, along with Đặng Văn Thành (Hai Phong FC) and Trần Đức Toản (Ha Tinh Sports Training Center) as assistant instructors.

In addition, from 16 to 20 November, the course welcomed Mr. Marco, a FIFA and CONCACAF coaching education expert, who oversaw assessments to ensure that the Vietnamese instructor team met FIFA’s required standards and teaching methodologies.

Following the course, the Vietnamese instructors and assistant instructors will continue to attend a FIFA coaching education workshop in Indonesia to further strengthen their professional capacity.

Before the closing ceremony, Koshida Takeshi summarized the key components of the course and reiterated the goals the coaches had set from the very first day. He expressed his gratitude to the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation for their support and assistance in ensuring the course’s success.

He emphasized that the highest purpose of the course was not merely to obtain a certificate, but to collectively contribute to the strong, widespread, and sustainable development of Vietnamese football. The VFF Technical Director urged the coaches to keep their “passion burning,” continue learning, and strive toward higher levels—especially the AFC “A” License in the near future.

Mr. Koshida also shared that he himself had learned a great deal from expert Marco, the assistant instructors, and even the young women players of HCMC FC. He encouraged the coaches to maintain a family-like bond, freely exchange ideas whenever challenges arise, and affirmed that he is always ready to offer support when needed. “The most important thing,” he emphasized, “is how we apply what we have learned once we return to our clubs.”

Representing the group of assistant instructors, Trần Đức Toản expressed his gratitude to VFF and Mr. Koshida for their trust and for giving him the opportunity to take part in the course. He highly appreciated the learning spirit and mutual support demonstrated by the coaches throughout the program.

Mr. Toản also shared insights on the importance of planning — the topic he chose to present at the upcoming FIFA workshop in Indonesia — and offered each participant a small gift as a gesture of encouragement for their future lesson preparation and training plans.

Coach Lê Công Vinh, speaking on behalf of the entire class, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Koshida for his dedication, discipline, and the valuable knowledge he imparted. He emphasized that the course provides an important foundation for participants to pursue higher goals in their coaching careers, especially as the C–B–A licensing pathway is now being implemented seamlessly in Vietnam.

Coach Đỗ Thị Ngọc Châm shared her emotions on the final day of the course, thanking the group for their unity and collective effort: “One day as brothers and sisters, forever brothers and sisters.”

Coach Badir Valdir expressed his appreciation to the instructors and fellow participants, praising the calm and patient teaching approach of the Japanese instructors. He shared that he learned a great deal from Mr. Koshida and goalkeeping coach Kato Yoshio of the Japan Football Association, and hoped that the knowledge gained would be effectively applied by the coaches in their local environments.

The course concluded in a spirit of positivity, unity, and strong determination to elevate the professional capacity of Vietnamese coaches. It marked an important step in building a solid foundation for the continued development of Vietnamese football in the future.
