AFC postpones AFC Women’s Futsal Championship 2020 and AFC U-20 Futsal Championship 2021
Due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, AFC continues to postpone AFC Women’s Futsal Championship Kuwait 2020 and AFC U-20 Futsal Championship 2021 (Qualifiers and Finals). The AFC Beach Soccer Championship 2021 still kick-off next year in Thailand.
These decisions made by the AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee (via correspondence) on 15 April 2020; and ratified by the AFC Executive Committee on 23 April 2020.
In the document, AFC emphasized that the postponement decisions of AFC Women’s Futsal Championship Kuwait 2020 and AFC U-20 Futsal Championship 2021 (Qualifiers and Finals) was made after considering the uncertainty caused by the current global pandemic and the preparation time needed by the Host Association and all Participating Member Associations.
Besides that, AFC confirmed the schedule of the AFC Beach Soccer Championship 2021 is from 18th Mar to 28th Mar 2021. This tournament will be hosted by the Football Association of Thailand.
