HANOI (5 June 2014) – The Vietnam Under-19 team has lined up six friendlies in Japan next month as part of their preparation for the AFC Under-19 Championship at the end of the year.

Following what was largely a mediocre outing in their recent trip to Europe, the Vietnam youth side under Guillaume Graechen will spent more than a month in the land of the rising sun.

They will take on the U18 Cerezo Osaka, student teams from Hannan University, Kansai University and Osaka Sangyo University, and also the U18 of Gamba Osaka.

The Vietnam U19 team will be in Japan from 8 June until 30 August.

Just prior to the AFC meet, the team will also take part in the AFF U19 Championships which is to be held in Hanoi on 5-13 September.

For the AFF meet, Vietnam are in Group B against Japan and Australia while Group A are Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia.
