Head coach Park Hang-seo said: “The match tomorrow is very meaningful because if win, we can play in the final match. However, the difficult is Cambodia played less than us 1 game and has more break time. Therefore, about the physical we have disadvantages. Hence, we have to play with a strong spirit’.

At SEA Games 30, Cambodia creates a huge surprise when joining the semis. This is the opposite of the predictions of many people. One Cambodian reporter asked whether U22 Vietnam would try to find out more information about this team. “I affirm that we never send spies on the training sessions of the opponents. We only watch the matches of Cambodia in Group A, the same as other teams, and we also have the video for the technical review. I think it is also the same as the Vietnamese media. They are too busy when following the Vietnam national teams so they could not do that”.

About the question related to the mistake of goalkeepers, head coach Park Hang-seo said he doesn’t want to comment about this issue. “Individual mistakes will help the player to improve themselves. They know what to do. I want to talk about the match tomorrow with Cambodia instead of the mistakes in the past”. Mr. Park said.

“We have to evaluate how the players recover after the matches. Next, we need a treatment plan for the player who has injured. I think everyone knows that the force of the team has decreased, so maybe we have to play by the spirit”.

Head coach Felix Dalmas (U22 Cambodia)

“Vietnam is very strong and has a good coach. We are so excited to play with Vietnam in the semi-final. This is a difficult challenge for Cambodia until now, but I believe we can get over. What we need to do now is prepare well and play with the highest desire to win”.

“In football, everything can happen. Before the tournament, no one thought that Cambodia can come to the semi-final. Vietnam, after losing 2 goals down to Thailand, also seemed to have to stop, but they still here. Football has a huge effect and brings happiness for Cambodian as well as the players and me. I hope we can continue to do it at the match with Vietnam.

The semi-final match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Cambodia will start at 19:00 on 7th Dec at Rizal Memorial stadium. U22 Vietnam will play with the red shirt.
