Quang Hai was injured and had to give his position to Hung Dung in the match against Singapore U22 on 3rd Dec.

The MRI shows that the initial diagnosis of the team’s doctors was right. Quang Hai was injured at the muscles in the back of the left leg and needs time to treatment. Hence, at first, he cannot play in the match with U22 Thailand tomorrow.

Quang Hai is important in the line-up of U22 Vietnam at SEA Games 30. However, the high density of competition for a long time also made the midfielder physically impaired. Because of that, even had not had this injury, the coach also plans to make a suitable break time. This also the reason why head coach Park Hang-seo always changes the line-up to ensure the best force of U22 Vietnam in each match.

Currently, the team doctors are also planning treatment to help Quang Hai can come back as soon as possible.

Today morning (4th Dec), U22 Vietnam had a training session at Rizal Memorial Stadium to prepare for the match with U22 Thailand. This session is only for the players who did not play in the match with U22 Singapore last night. The group of other players was made physical therapy at the hotel.

On the afternoon 4th Dec, the team has a tactics meeting to make a plan for the match with U22 Thailand. This dramatic match will start at 15:00 on 5th Dec at the Binan Football stadium. U22 Vietnam needs only one more point to come to the semi-final while U22 Thailand has to win at least 2-0.
