The second round of Vietnam”s second-flight football league, First Division, in 2006 kicked off Tuesday with Dong Thap club tops in the league on two wins.
The Mekong Delta team Dong Thap surpassed Dong Nai on home field [Cao Lanh Stadium] in a game with the only goal scored by Phan Thanh Binh in the 17th minute.
Dong Nai recovered and pushed up its formation to attack in the last twenty minutes but failed to level the game.
With the win, Dong Thap has six points and topping the rankings after two rounds, with Tay Ninh in second on four points.
