U20 Argentina coming to Việt Nam
U20 Argentina will play friendly matches against U23 and U20 Việt Nam teams next month.
Striker Nguyễn Công Phượng of U23 team (left) will be named in the line-up to compete against U20 Argentina.
Argentina will meet the U20 team at Thống Nhất Stadium in HCM City on May 10.
Four days later, Argentina will head to Hà Nội to face the U23 team at Mỹ Đình National Stadium. U23 coach Nguyễn Hữu Thắng hopes to use this match prepare for the Southeast Asian Games to be held in Malaysia in August.
According to U20 coach Hoàng Anh Tuấn, the match will help him choose his squad for the FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea.
Tuấn lauded the Việt Nam Football Federation for organising two matches in two places in the country, allowing fans nationwide to watch the young talents of Argentina.
The U20 team will also have two weeks of training in Germany, beginning on April 16 and play three friendlies over the two weeks.
